EU can take action against Ukraine after death reports

PanARMENIAN.Net - The European Union could take action against Ukraine after reports that at least three demonstrators died there during overnight violence, European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso said on Wednesday, Jan 22, according to Reuters.

Barroso said the European Union was shocked by the deaths, deplored the use of force and called on all sides to immediately halt violence.

"We will continue following closely these developments as well as assess possible actions by the EU and consequences for our relations with that country," Barroso told reporters.
