The film is based on a story by Delpy and Stephen Hamel. Hamel is producing through his Company Films banner along with “Her” producer Vincent Landay. The film is set the early days of silent films and the automobile industry and follows a family of Vaudeville performers embarking on a cross-country road trip from New York to Los Angeles while making a motion picture. Casting is currently underway. Delpy was most recently seen in “Before Midnight,” which landed her a Oscar nomination for screenwriting.
