Dimension, RADiUS nab Salma Hayek action thriller “Everly”

PanARMENIAN.Net - Dimension and RADiUS have acquired domestic distribution rights to “Everly”, an action thriller starring Salma Hayek, The Weinstein Company subsidiaries said. Joe Lynch (“Knights of Badassdo”) directed the film from a script by Yale Hannon that landed on the Black List in 2010, according to TheWrap.

Hayek stars as a woman forced to fend of assassins and save her mother and daughter. Togo Igawa, Masashi Fujimoto and Hiroyuki Watanabe star a well.

“We’ve been on the hunt for a female driven action franchise and we’ve finally found it in ‘Everly,’” RADiUS co-presidents Tom Quinn and Jason Janego said in a statement. “Salma is utterly transcendent.”

The companies will release the film, produced by Vega, Baby!, Crime Scene Pictures, Anonymous Content’s Luke Rivett and Andrew Pfeffer, in late 2014. CAA, Rob Paris of Crime Scene and David Boyle negotiated the deal with Quinn and Janego.
