Baku Hopes for U.S. Pressure on Armenia in Karabakh Issue

PanARMENIAN.Net - "We hope that the U.S. will increase pressure on Armenia in the Nagorno Karabakh issue, head of the socio-political department of the Azeri president administration Ali Hasanov stated. He noted that Azerbaijan as a regional state and the U.S. as great power show interest in any event in the region. In this view the Azerbaijani and U.S. Presidents will present their position on energy and security issues in the region. "The U.S. is one of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs. We hope that the United States will increase pressure on the Armenian government and maintain the intensity of talks within international legal norms and make Armenia take a constructive position on the issue," Ali Hasanov underscored.
