Kate Winslet as villain in “Divergent” bestseller adaptation spot

PanARMENIAN.Net - With the opening of Lionsgate’s “Divergent” a month away, the studio has debuted a 60-second spot to air during Thursday Feb 20 night’s Winter Olympics telecast, Variety said.

Set in the dystopian world where people are divided into five distinct factions based on each’s human virtues, the film stars Shailene Woodley as a “Divergent” who doesn’t fit into any group.

The promo reveals faction leader Kate Winslet plotting to destroy all Divergents and declaring “I want every Divergent hunted down and killed, every single one.”

The film, based on the book series by Veronica Roth, opens March 21 in the U.S.
