Nokia rolls out 2 budget smartphones at Mobile World CongressFebruary 24, 2014 - 14:18 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Nokia has announced a pair of budget handsets at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, including a new Asha device, according to Digital Spy. The Nokia 220 is touted as the company's most affordable phone, housing a 2.4-inch screen, a 2-megapixel camera and microSD slot. Aimed at the emerging markets, this dual-SIM, 2G device is intended to bring internet services to developing countries, backed up by the Nokia Xpress Browser and Microsoft's Bing search engine. Other features include a physical keypad, built-in MP3 player, video player, FM radio, and six games from developer Gameloft. Nokia also announced a new addition to its Asha family at MWC in the shape of the Nokia Asha 230, a touchscreen device with a similar design to the firm's Lumia range. Featuring a 2.8-inch QVGA capacitive display, the entry-level handset is designed with social networking in mind, coming fully optimised for WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, LINE and WeChat.
