Some 1500 political figures, representatives of the clergy, the Armenian community and media took part in the event. Mayor of Paris Bertrand Delanoe and Armenian Ambassador to France Eduard Nalbandian delivered speeches. Events dedicated to the memory of the Genocide victims were also organized in some outskirts of Paris.
