Vodafone rolls out own-brand 4G tablet

PanARMENIAN.Net - Vodafone has unveiled its own-brand 4G tablet in the form of the 8-inch Smart Tab 4, Digital Spy said.

The entry-level slate has a screen resolution of 800x1280, and sports a 1.2GHz MediaTek quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM.

The Smart Tab 4 launches with Google's Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, but Vodafone has pledged to update it to KitKat in the future.

Rival network provider EE also launched a 4G tablet this week, with the Eagle intended as a competitor to the likes of the Nexus 7 and the iPad Mini.

Manufactured by Huawei, the Eagle comes with an 800 x 1280 display, a 1.6GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM on board.
