“World of Warcraft” movie completes shooting![]() May 26, 2014 - 13:02 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The World of Warcraft movie has completed shooting, Digital Spy reported. Director Duncan Jones announced on Twitter that the four-month shoot had come to an end. The video game movie adaptation is due for release in March 2016 and has stars such as Paula Patton and Rob Kazinsky attached. The film will use a mix of live-action and CGI, and the visual effects supervisor Bill Westenhofer has previously said that it will come across as "Avatar meets Game of Thrones". Few details have been released about the film, other than the fact it will focus on the origins of the battle between Orcs and humans. Blizzard CEO Paul Sams previously told Digital Spy that the World of Warcraft film will be more than a simple video game adaptation. He said: "There's a high level of collaboration, and the good news is that nobody is interested in making a video game movie. "Everyone wants to make a truly groundbreaking, badass movie, that has simply gotten its source material from a video game, just like other great sci-fi, fantasy or superhero movies have been inspired by books or comic books."
