Edgar Wright may return to “Kolchak: The Night Stalker” with Johnny DeppMay 29, 2014 - 12:54 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Edgar Wright could be returning to his Kolchak: The Night Stalker project. The filmmaker will pick up the Johnny Depp-starring film to replace Ant-Man, Digital Spy said citing Deadline. The 1970s television series starred Darren McGavin as Carl Kolchak, a tabloid reporter who is frequently drawn into supernatural adventures. It is seen as a precursor to The X-Files, and experienced a revival in the 2000s as a series and comic book. Depp will take on the title role. Wright recently exited Marvel Studios' Ant-Man after developing the film since 2006. He is believed to have departed due a disagreement with the studio over script rewrites.
