In the movie nominations, 12 Years a Slave also performed well, picking up the award for Best Movie, as well as Best Actor for Chiwetel Ejiofor and Best Actress for Lupita Nyong'o. Beyoncé picked up the gong for Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, on top of Best Collaboration with Jay Z on the track 'Drunk In Love'. Meanwhile, Pharrell Williams was given the Best Male R&B/Pop Artist and scored Video of the Year for his hit single 'Happy'. The 41-year-old opened the ceremony with new single 'Come Get It Bae', with special guest Missy Elliott. Lionel Richie was also in attendance to collect the Lifetime Achievement award, while Drake and Nicki Minaj took away the Best Male and Female Hip-Hop Artist awards.
