Sandra Bullock to play Tupperware exec in “The Help” helmer’s new filmJuly 21, 2014 - 17:46 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Sandra Bullock will play Brownie Wise in a biopic of the Tupperware executive, Digital Spy reported. The Help director Tate Taylor will produce and direct the movie, Sony Pictures Entertainment said. Wise came up with the idea of holding Tupperware parties, and became the first woman to appear on the cover of Businessweek in 1954. However, she later clashed with inventor Earl Silas Tupper, who fired her and tried to erase her from the company records. The script was also written by Taylor, and is based on Bob Kealing's book about Wise, Tupperware Unsealed. "Sandy and I have been trying to work together for years," said Taylor. "Finally, I'm very excited to put Tupperware in her hands. This is a collaborative dream come true." Hannah Minghella of Sony Pictures Entertainment added that Oscar nominee Bullock shares Wise's "fierce bravery and independent spirit". Of Taylor, she added: "Tate has the rare and delicate ability to capture both the romanticism and restrictions of a time and place, in this case, 1950s suburban America. "His characters are both immediately recognisable while also uniquely iconic." The project is Bullock's first official commitment since her Oscar nomination for Gravity.
