U.S. Department of State urges Baku to probe Armenian captive’s death

PanARMENIAN.Net - The U.S. Department of State issued a statement expressing deep concern over the death of Karen Petrosyan, a resident of Chinari village of Armenia’s Tavush province, who died in Azeri captivity.

In its statement, the Department of State called Azerbaijan to thoroughly investigate the death of the captive and publicize the results. It also urges the parties to respect the international humanitarian legislation and allow the International Committee of the Red Cross representatives visits to hostages, Public Radio of Armenia reported.
