James Gandolfini, Tom Hardy in “The Drop” crime drama clip (video) August 21, 2014 - 17:41 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - James Gandolfini doesn't think very highly of Tom Hardy in a new clip from “The Drop” an upcoming crime drama that features the late actor's final performance on the big screen, TheWrap said. “I'm not the guy that wasted his entire life waiting for it to start,” Gandolfini tells Hardy's character in the clip (above). “At least I had something once. I was respected, I was feared.” The Sept. 12 release was directed by Michaël R. Roskam (“Bullhead”) and written by “Mystic River” author Dennis Lehane. “The Drop” follows a lonely bartender (Hardy) who works at a Brooklyn watering hole, which is actually just a money drop where criminals store dirty cash they can't deposit in a bank. Under the heavy hand of his employer and cousin (Gandolfini), the blue collar worker finds himself at the center of a robbery gone awry and entwined in an investigation that digs deep into the neighborhood's past where friends, families, and foes all work together to make a living — no matter the cost.
