Iran’s Revolutionary Guard claims downing Israeli drone![]() August 25, 2014 - 13:18 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Iran's state TV has broadcast footage purported to show an Israeli drone the country's Revolutionary Guard claimed it shot down near an Iranian nuclear site, the Associated Press reports. Arabic-language Al-Alam aired a brief video on Monday, Aug 25, filmed in a desert area showing what the channel says are parts of the drone. A TV scroll notified the drone was downed on Saturday. There were no visible Israeli markings on it, the AP says. The Guard issued a statement on Sunday, saying its forces fired a missile at the drone as it neared Iran's uranium enrichment facility in Natanz, some 240 kilometers (150 miles) south of the capital, Tehran. The statement gave no further details. Israel's military has declined comment on the matter. The incident comes as Iran is negotiating with world powers over its controversial nuclear program.
