Samsung Gear S smartwatch supports full Nike+ integrationAugust 30, 2014 - 11:51 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Samsung and Nike have entered a partnership that will see the newly-announced Samsung Gear S smartwatch support full integration with the Nike+ app, Digital Spy reported. The inclusion of GPS support and SIM card integration enables the wearable to take advantage of the same features as a dedicated running watch. "We are very excited to welcome the Nike+ Running App to Samsung's Gear portfolio," said Samsung products chief Chan Woo Park. "With its ergonomically fit design, empowered by multi-sensors, GPS and IP67, the Samsung Gear S is a perfect health and fitness companion. "With the Nike+ Running App, it will be even more attractive and fun for people to enjoy running, while tracking runs, reaching goals and sharing with friends, all on their wrist." Samsung Gear S users can set out on running sessions without their smartphone and still be able to map runs, track progress and connect to the Nike+ community. The Gear S is expected to be shown off alongside the Galaxy Note 4 at Samsung's Unpacked press conference on September 3.
