ARMENIA NOT ON LIST OF COUNTRIES WHOSE CITIZENS HAVE TO REGISTER WITH US IMMIGRATION SERVICE

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia is not on the list of countries whose citizens must register with the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service. As reported by the Armenian Assembly of America, a spokesman from the U.S. Department of Justice stated it today. In his words, Armenia's name was mistakenly included in the Federal Register issued yesterday. Let us note that according to the document issued after the September 11-th tragedy in US, non-immigrant male nationals over the age of 16 residing in the U.S. coming from a range of countries suspected of harboring terrorists have to register with the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service. The list includes such countries, as Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Libya, North Korea, United Arab Emirates, Pakistan and others.
