TNT developing first moonwalker Neil Armstrong miniseriesSeptember 22, 2014 - 12:39 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - TNT is making "One Giant Leap". The cable channel is currently developing a miniseries about the life of NASA astronaut Neil Armstrong who became the first man to walk on the moon, AceShowbiz said. The project is based on Leon Wagener's book of the same title. Al Reinert ("Apollo 13", "From the Earth to the Moon") will pen the script for the four-hour event miniseries. The book covers the Apollo 11 mission in 1969 in which Armstrong became the first human to step onto the surface of the Moon. "One small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind," he said at the time. Armstrong died on August 25, 2015 at 82. He appeared in multiple documentaries about the space program during his life and has been portrayed in multiple film and TV projects, including HBO's miniseries "From the Earth to the Moon" which featured Tony Goldwyn as the famous astronaut.
