“Chosen” Harvey Keitel World War II drama wraps productionOctober 3, 2014 - 15:39 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Helmer Jasmin Dizdar has wrapped shooting on “Chosen”, a World War II drama starring Harvey Keitel, Ana Ularu and Luke Mably, Variety said. Inspired by true events, the film tells the story of a young lawyer (Mably) who fights back against the Nazis and, with the help of Judith (Ularu), embarks on a mission to save thousands. Keitel plays the lawyer in present day. Shooting took place in Bucharest, Romania and New York. “We’re very excited to have completed principal photography on this challenging and stylish project,” said producer Mike Riley. “Full of action, drama and romance it sheds light of some of the most extraordinary events of WWII. With a huge cast, many Eastern European locations, large battle sequences and intimate dramatic moments it has been an extremely varied and complex shoot, which we’ve been free to approach as we please having needed no sales or distribution partners yet.” “Chosen,” which will deliver before Cannes next year, is produced by Sterling Pictures in association with Pluribus Unum.
