HP rolls out three-in-one Slate 17 Android tabletOctober 3, 2014 - 19:19 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - HP has launched a versatile Android tablet that is essentially three products in one, Digital Spy reported. The Slate 17 features a 17.3-inch screen and a folding design that enables it to be used as either a tablet, laptop or desktop computer. The hybrid device will ship with an Intel Bay Trail Celeron N2870 chipset, 2GB of RAM, accelerometer and gyroscope on board, while its display is capable of hosting full 1080p high-definition visuals. Running Android 4.4.2 KitKat, the Slate 17 also includes a set of built-in Beats Audio speakers that deliver "room-filling" sound output. Although the device can be connected to a computer monitor via HDMI, it does not appear to be a viable desktop PC replacement unless your needs are basic.
