Archos launching smartphone-compatible virtual reality headsetOctober 20, 2014 - 13:57 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Archos is launching a budget-friendly virtual reality headset that will work with most smartphones, Digital Spy said. The VR Glasses are compatible with Android, Windows Phone and iOS devices of up to 6 inches. The accessory consists of a chunky visor that straps to the user's head, with a slot for hosting their handset and beaming its display in front of them. Archos claims that its VR Glasses will work with virtually any smartphone, but recommends a quad-core device with 1080p visuals. The device is intended as a budget and more versatile alternative to headsets such as Samsung's Gear VR, which only works with the Galaxy Note 4. Archos will launch the VR Glasses later this month.
