Red Cross meets Azerbaijani saboteurs standing trial in KarabakhNovember 7, 2014 - 15:39 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) mission in Nagorno-Karabakh visited Azeri saboteurs who're currently standing trial in Stepanakert. The Azeri citizens were given letters from their families, with return messages sent with ICRC. According to APA, the ICRC Azeri Office spokesperson refused to comment on the court hearings, noting that the Red Cross is not a source of information on the issue. Shahbaz Guliyev and Dilgam Askerov are undergoing trial in Stepanakert. The two Azeri commandos were caught making an incursion into Armenian territory (Karvachar) in the summer. The third commando, Hasan Hasanov, was killed, and his body was handed over to Baku earlier in October. The actions of the commando group left an underage resident of Karvachar and an Armenian serviceman killed, as well as one woman wounded. A video containing footage of interrogation of Baku-captured Armenian serviceman Hakob Injighulyan was found in Askerov's video camera, the saboteur unable to explain how the footage was obtained. As Defense Ministry spokesman Artsrun Hovhannisyan stated in his Facebook post, “a video record is available clearly showing the violence used against Injighulyan, which was a means of forcing him into making false statements. It also accurately identifies the Azerbaijani saboteurs, who allegedly ‘visited their relatives’ graves’.” Top stories Six total incidents have burned 19 old-growth trees.
