Parliament passes bill to change government structure![]() ![]() PanARMENIAN.Net - With 70 votes in favor, 6 against and 31 abstentions, the Armenian parliament adopted Monday, Nov 17, a bill on introduction of amendments in the law on Government’s Structure. During a cabinet meeting on Nov 6, Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan offered to merge the Ministries of Emergency Situations and Territorial Administration. The PM also said that a new ministry will be set up to deal with issues related to international economic integration and reforms. Besides, Abrahamyan announced plans to optimize the structure of the government, as 19 ministries “is too much for Armenia.” ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
