Zeiss VR One headset brings virtual reality to iOS, Android December 16, 2014 - 12:32 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Zeiss has entered the virtual reality game market with the launch of the VR One, a headset that is compatible with iOS and Android devices, Digital Spy said. The accessory supports the iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy S5 at launch, shipping with specially-designed trays that hold the handsets in place. Optics specialist Zeiss says that trays for other smartphones are in the pipeline, but did not confirm any specific details. The VR One is a similar offering to Samsung's Gear VR headset, but is not limited to one line of products like its competitor. The hardware works with a companion smartphone app and delivers separate images to each of the user's eyes to deliver immersive 3D effects.
