The actress is reportedly nearing a deal to star in a comedy pilot called "Divorce" for the premium cable channel, AceShowbiz reveals. The single-camera project focuses on a middle-aged woman (Parker) who, influenced by her two recently single friends, brings up the idea of divorce with her husband but then can't decide whether to actually go through with it, until her husband learns of her affair and calls off the marriage. It is written by British writer-actress Sharon Horgan. Parker and Alison Benson will executive produce the project via her Pretty Matches Productions banner, with Aaron Kaplan, Paul Simms and Alison Benson also serving as executive producers. The project is still waiting for a formal pilot green light. Horgan is expected to serve as showrunner with Simms as co-showrunner should HBO decide to move forward with the project.
