TrustNordisk presells hot new title “The Model” to key territories![]() February 13, 2015 - 13:15 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Mads Matthiesen’s “The Model” proved one of TrustNordisk’s hot new titles at the European Film Market, where the Scandi giant unveiled a three-minute promo. “The Model” enlisted a raft of distributors, such as AB Groupe for France, Kino Swiat for Poland, Scene & Sound in Korea, Pro Films for Bulgaria and Gulf Film for the Middle East. Set against the backdrop of Paris’ fashion industry, the film follows a young model (Maria Palm) who struggles to break into the Parisian scene and develops a dangerous obsession with a photographer. “The Model” marks Matthiesen’s follow-up to “Teddy Bear,” which won best director at Sundance in 2012, among other awards. Pic, which was first pitched at Paris Project and most recently at Goteborg’s Nordic Film Market, is being produced by Jonas Bagger for Zentropa Entertainments. Nordisk Film Distribution will distribute the film in Scandinavia. Ara Aivazian said Azerbaijan continues the traditions of Turkey after seizing territories and forced Armenians out.
