Swatch to include NFC, Bluetooth connectivity to future watchesMarch 14, 2015 - 10:34 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Swatch has announced plans to include NFC and Bluetooth connectivity in some of its future watches, Digital Spy reports. Chief executive Nick Hayek said that the upcoming timepiece will be capable of making contactless payments and syncing with smartphones. However, he added that Swatch has no plans to launch a fully-fledged smartwatch to take on the Apple Watch and Android Wear. "We are not a consumer electronics company," BBC News quotes Hayek as saying. "We are not going to transform and put the mobile phone on the wrist. Let the others do it. Samsung did it, Sony did it.
