The true-story film will be scored by Thomas Newman ("The Help", "The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel", "Saving Mr. Banks"), marking the first Spielberg film in decades without score by his frequent collaborator John Williams, AceShowbiz reports. 83-year-old Williams recently collaborated with Spielberg in 2013's "Lincoln". The Oscar-winning composer is expected to reunite with the director in his next other film "The BFG". He passed on the "Bridge of Spies" because his "schedule was interrupted and he was unavailable to score the film due to a minor health issue, now corrected." A dramatic thriller set against the backdrop of a series of historic events, "Bridge of Spies" tells the story of James Donovan (Tom Hanks), a Brooklyn lawyer who finds himself thrust into the center of the Cold War when the CIA sends him on the near-impossible task to negotiate the release of a captured American U-2 pilot. The film is also supported by Mark Rylance, Amy Ryan, Scott Shepherd, Sebastian Koch, and Alan Alda. Ethan Coen and Joel Coen polish the script drafted by Matt Charman. The film will be released in theaters nationwide on October 16 this year. Top stories The creative crew of the Public TV had chosen 13-year-old Malena as a participant of this year's contest.
