Apple's new Photos app replaces iPhoto on MacApril 9, 2015 - 10:58 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Apple's new Photos app has touched down on Mac computers, included in the latest update to OS X Yosemite, according to Digital Spy. The software is available on Mac Pro, iMac, Mac Mini, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air and MacBook machines, serving as a replacement for iPhoto and Aperture. Photos is a viewing and editing app that allows users to organise their pictures into Moments, Collections, Shared Albums, Albums and Projects. Users can also order physical copies of their pictures and photo books in-app with a single click. Photos' arrival on Mac coincides with iCloud Photo Library exiting beta, enabling users to browse their photo library on any iOS or OS X device via the cloud. OS X 10.10.3 also includes bug fixes, corrects minor performance issues and adds 300 new emoji to Apple's Messages app, including the culturally-diverse symbols that also feature in iOS 8.3.
