“Star Wars” pics reveal Adam Driver's, Lupita Nyong'o's characters

PanARMENIAN.Net - A series of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" images are unleashed. One of them shows Adam Driver's hooded villain Kylo Ren getting unmasked while another features Lupita Nyong'o doing a motion capture for her character Maz Kanata, AceShowbiz reports.

According to Vanity Fair which publishes the pictures on its latest issue, Kanata is a pirate. One photo shows galactic travelers, smugglers, and other assorted riffraff crowding the main hall of her castle. There is also an image of Oscar Isaac as X-wing pilot. On top of that, Gwendoline Christie is revealed as Captain Phasma.

The pictures were taken by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz on location at Pinewood Studios in London. Along with the images, the magazine also includes a behind-the-scene video which has commentary from director J.J. Abrams.

The film is due December 18. It also stars John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Andy Serkis, and Carrie Fisher.
