Mumford and Sons' "Wilder Mind" remains on top of UK album charts

PanARMENIAN.Net - Mumford and Sons' Wilder Mind remains on top of the album charts for a second week, as the band gear up to release their next single, Gigwise reports.

The band fought off competition from Eric Clapton, Sam Smith, Hozier, Taylor Swift and Paul Simon, who make up the rest of the top five. New entries in the chart come from Tove Lo (17), Leonard Cohen's rarities collection (18), Rosiin Muphy (19) and Snoop Dogg's Bush (25). Jazz singer Gregory Porter’s Liquid Spirit climbed 28 places and Best Ofs from both Guns N Roses and David Bowie made it into the top 40.

Mumford & Sons have also announced their new single, 'The Wolf' will be released on 28 June. Described in our review of the album as "the best thing the band have ever done", it's the track that we predict will go down an absolute storm at Reading Festival.

Mumford & Sons are the third headliners or this year's Reading + Leeds festivals, alongside The Libertines and Metallica.

They also are playing a Scottish date of their Gentlemen Of The Road tour at Aviemore on 31 July featuring support from Ben Howard, Primal Scream, The Maccabees, Simian Mobile Disco. Lianne La Havas, Jack Garratt, King Charles and Honeyblood.
