David Oyelowo joins Luke Evans in “Three Seconds” thrillerMay 19, 2015 - 11:14 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - David Oyelowo (Selma) has joined the cast of Peaky Blinders director Otto Bathurst’s feature debut Three Seconds opposite the previously announced Luke Evans (The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies). Thunder Road’s Basil Iwanyk and Shine Pictures’ Ollie Madden are producing with Kevin Frakes and Raj Singh of PalmStar Media financing. Erica Lee is exec producing. Alex Walton’s Bloom is handling international sales, with CAA and WME jointly repping domestic rights, Deadline reports. The film is based on the best-selling book by Swedish writers Anders Roslund and Borge Hellstrom. Matt Cook and Rowan Joffe have penned the screenplay. Three Seconds follows the story of a man forced undercover in prison as part of a FBI operation, who then has to escape on his own after he is abandoned during the mission. Oyelowo will play Detective Lt. Edward Grens, an anti-social NYPD detective who quickly begins unravelling the FBI’s operation after the murder of a fellow officer. Thunder Road ‘s eagerly anticipated Sicario, directed by Denis Villeneuve. world premieres in competition at Cannes on Tuesday night. Benicio Del Toro, Emily Blunt and Josh Brolin are in the cast.
