Microsoft Office preview available on Android phonesMay 20, 2015 - 10:42 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Several months after launching on Android tablets, Microsoft Office is finally heading to Android smartphones, Digital Spy reports. The PC maker is giving interested parties the chance to preview an "early look" of Word, Excel and PowerPoint apps. "The Office for Android phone apps are modern, optimised for touch, and designed for work on the go," Microsoft said in a blog post. "Word, Excel and PowerPoint apps make documents, spreadsheets and presentations look their best on your Android phone. Do great work - anywhere, anytime." The new apps will eventually replace the Office Mobile hub on Android, but not until the full version launches once tests are over. To improve Office for its final launch on Android smartphones, it's asking those who download the preview to provide feedback. To get testing, users must join the Office for Android community. Testers will need a handset running Android KitKat 4.4.x or higher and at least 1GB of RAM.
