The Avengers: Age of Ultron actress portrays a teacher whose surprise pregnancy leads her to question her future as both a mother and a teacher. High school teacher Samantha Abbott (Smulders) is helped through her pregnancy by developing a bond with student Jasmine (Gail Bean), who is also expecting a baby. The drama also stars Downton Abbey's Elizabeth McGovern as Samantha's mother, while Anders Holm is the teacher's husband. Unexpected comes from Empire Builder director Kris Swanberg. A cinema release is planned in the US for July 24. A UK release is yet to be set.
