World's first laser-projected mouse unveiledJune 4, 2015 - 11:41 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Not everyone is fond of trackpads and carrying a fully-fledged PC mouse around with you can be awkward, but a startup called Serafim thinks it has the answer, Digital Spy reports. Following a successful Kickstarter campaign, the company has created the world's first laser-projected mouse, beaming a virtual trackpad interface onto your desk. ODiN resembles a decapitated Transformer, taking the shape of a tiny robot head that fits in your pocket and conjures up a touchpad via electro-optical technology. Serafim claims that ODiN reduces the risk of conditions like carpal tunnel due to the lower wrist angle, and functions just like a traditional mouse. After raising $108,195 on Kickstarter, the company is ready to start mass producing the device, although orders can still be placed through the crowdsourcing site. ODiN is available in black, green, and silver colour options, and begins shipping to its Kickstarter backers this month.
