Government rules to raise military pensions by 14%![]() June 10, 2015 - 17:20 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The government of Armenia adopted a resolution to raise military pensions starting from July 1, 2015, Panorama.am reports. As the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Artem Asatryan told reporters after the cabinet meeting, according to the amendments to the Law on State Pensions, starting from July 1, 2015, the minimal military pension will increase to AMD 16,000, up from AMD 14,000 , with amount of pension for each year of military service to be increase to AMD 1,500 from AMD 1,300. “Continuous increase of pensions is among the government’s priorities,” said the Minister, adding that from July 1 they plan to increase military pensions by an average of 14 %. ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
