PanARMENIAN.Net - Russia is closely following the developments in Armenia, hoping for the situation to be settled in the near future in accordance with the legislation, Russian President's spokesman said.

"Yerevan is our closest partner, with people of Armenia and Russia bound by historical ties. We're closely following the events in the country, hoping for the situation to be settled in accordance with the legislation," RIA Novosti quoted Dmitry Peskov as saying.
