Armenia and Romania Signed Several Intergovernmental Documents

PanARMENIAN.Net - Today Armenian President Robert Kocharian met with Romanian leader Traian Basescu, reported the RA leader's press office. The interlocutors discussed the Armenian-Romanian relations and cooperation within European structures, regional tasks and exchanged views on some urgent international problems. The meeting was followed by Armenian-Romanian talks in expanded composition.



Upon completion of the meeting Armenian and Romanian leaders signed a joint statement. Intergovernmental documents on trade and economic ties, scientific and technical cooperation, encouragement and mutual protection of investments as well as a program on cooperation in educational and scientific fields for 2006-2007 were also signed. The Armenian and Romanian MFAs signed a memorandum on European and Euro-Atlantic cooperation.
