Romania Will Support Armenia in EU and NATO

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia is an attractive country for Romanian businessmen, Romanian leader Traian Basescu said at a joint press conference with RA President Robert Kocharian. In his words, a structure of relations is formed to promote development of bilateral economic relations. "We know that Armenian Government always fulfills its commitments - this refers to the EU and NATO, as well as partner states. We support open policy in Black Sea region, moreover we will support Armenia in the political, economic and social planes,» Basescu underscored.

As for using Konstantsy port to transport Armenian cargo, the Armenian president noted the issue is on the agenda, but a well-working system is absent yet. Basescu noted that Armenia may use not only Romanian, but also Bulgarian ports. "You can count on Romania fully - whether on support in the EU and NATO or in economic cooperation," he said.
