Azerbaijan continuously violates ceasefire at contact line with NKRJuly 24, 2015 - 11:55 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijani armed forces continuously violated the ceasefire at the line of contact with Nagorno Karabakh on the night of July 23-24. According to the NKR Defense Army, 160 ceasefire violations by Azeri armed forces were registered during the day, with over 2500 shots fired from various caliber weapons, including 82mm mortars and grenade launchers. Defense Army frontline units continue controlling the situation and take retaliatory measures, silencing the attacks. Azerbaijan's activeness at the line of contact with Nagorno Karabakh and numerous ceasefire violations are quite common, spokesperson for the NKR President recently said. "This is Azerbaijan's lifestyle. They intensify violations immediately after or before the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs visit the region," Davit Babayan said, adding that such actions are quite predictable and no weird developments are currently underway. Babayan also noted that ceasefire violations are observed every time an international diplomat visits the region. Top stories Six total incidents have burned 19 old-growth trees.
