According to the data on the UNDP 2002 website, other countries of the region - Georgia, Turkey and Azerbaijan occupy the 81-st, 85-th and 88-th places respectively. Among the CIS member states Belarus has the highest index, ranking 56. Russia follows it, being the 60-th.
