FIRST ARMENIAN FOREIGN MINISTER RAFFI HOVHANNISIAN RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT

PanARMENIAN.Net - Today an application was received by the Central electoral commission of Armenia from the first minister of foreign affairs of Armenia, present chief of the Armenian Center for National and International Research Raffi Hovhannisian for participating in the Presidential elections planned February 19, 2003. The candidate is proposed by an initiative group. Let us note that at present there are 5 candidates for the presidency in Armenia. Besides Raffi Hovhannisian these include leader of People's party Stepan Demirchian, chairman of "National Self-Determination" association Paruyr Hayrikian, political scientist Aram Karapetian endorsed by "Constitutional Right" association and acting Armenian President Robert Kocharian.
