Protesters Threw Eggs at French Consulate in IstanbulOctober 23, 2006 - 16:13 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Some 50 people gathered on Sunday in front of the French Consulate in Istanbul to protest against the adoption of the bill penalizing the Armenian Genocide denial. The action participants, mostly members of the opposition Republican Democratic Party shouting out anti-French slogans threw eggs at the Consulate. They also called on their compatriots to boycott French products, reports RFE/RL.![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
