No deal is put in place just yet, but she is expected to reunite with Francis Lawrence, who directed her in "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1" and "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2", AceShowbiz reports. Deadline now reports that the filmmaker is close to signing a deal for the project, which once had David Fincher and Rooney Mara as potential helmer and female lead respectively. "Red Sparrow" is set in contemporary Russia and centers on a state intelligence officer named Dominika Egorova who is assigned against her will to become a "Sparrow," a trained seductress in the service. During her first assignment, Dominika strikes up a relationship with her mark, a CIA officer named Nathaniel Nash, and in a charged atmosphere of trade craft, deception, and inevitably, a sexual attraction threatens their careers and the security of America's most valuable mole in Moscow. Justin Haythe is tapped to rewrite a script by Eric Warren, while Steven Zaillian and Garrett Basch are on board as producers. Jennifer Lawrence reprises her role as Katniss Everdeen in "Mockingjay, Part 2" which will head into the U.S. theaters on November 20.
