HTC One A9 to reportedly run Android 6.0 MarshmallowSeptember 15, 2015 - 13:56 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Going by the credible HTC insider’s tip sourced by Phone Arena, the HTC One A9, also known as Aero, will reportedly run Android 6.0 Marshmallow straight out of the box, International Business Times reports citing Android ROM developer and tipster @LlabTooFeR. To top it off, @LlabTooFeR said that the HTC One A9 release date has been set sometime in October or November. This tipster has also confirmed the Android 6.0 Marshmallow on board the new device. If the HTC One A9 comes preinstalled with Android M, this handset will be one of the first devices to launch with the latest firmware. The other known device is obviously the Nexus 2015 lineup. According to Phone Arena, Google has reportedly set up a press event on Sept. 29. This is when the company is expected to introduce the two variants of the Nexus 2015 smartphones. The two variants are being manufactured by LG and Huawei. In the meantime, HTC apparently has a special event scheduled for the same day and therefore, many tech Websites are speculating that the One A9 could be unveiled on Sept. 29. As far as the rumored HTC One A9 specifications go, the device will apparently come powered by a MediaTek Helio X20 chip, which is expected to work in tandem with a deca-core processor. The new chipset has reportedly been manufactured by the superior 20 nm process. As a result, the chip reportedly exhausts 30 percent less power when compared to other chipsets, Phone Arena reported. Moreover, the handset will reportedly be backed by a killer 4 GB of RAM configuration. It’s a known fact that, HTC has been on the receiving end of criticism for the not-so-impressive camera unit. The UltraPixel sensors introduced by HTC did not make the expected impact among the potential buyers. Therefore, the company is reported to have improved the camera unit of the One A9.
