Michael Fassbender to return to Ridley Scott's "Prometheus" sequel

Michael Fassbender to return to Ridley Scott's

PanARMENIAN.Net - Director Ridley Scott has confirmed that the untitled Prometheus sequel is his next project. While attending the premiere of his newest film "The Martian" at the Toronto International Film Festival, the director teased some details about the sequel. He revealed that the leading actor in the movie, Michael Fassbender, would be back reprising his role, AceShowbiz reports.

Speaking to Deadline, Scott admitted that he apparently had the intention to reteam with Fassbender. The director shared his experience on collaborating with the 38-year-old actor in "The Counselor" and went on telling the reporter that he would team up with Fassbender for the sequel to "Prometheus".

"But Fassbender will do this one with me, and it's meant to start production in February. I'm in prep, now. I'll either shoot in Aussie, or here," the director said. It is clear now that the principal photography will commence one month earlier than it was rumored and will take place in both Australia and Toronto.

When asked about possible storyline, Scott didn't reveal anything but he did mention implicitly that the movie would be closely connected to the first film. "You can either say, leave the first film alone and jump ahead, but you can't because it ends on too specific a plot sentence as she [Noomi Rapace's Dr. Elizabeth Shaw] says, 'I want to go where they came from, I don't want to go back to where I came from,' " Scott explained.
