Sony renames Project Morpheus virtual reality headset PlayStation VRSeptember 15, 2015 - 14:33 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Sony has renamed its Project Morpheus virtual reality headset, Digital Spy reports. Project Morpheus will henceforth be known as PlayStation VR, which isn't as exciting, but does kind of make more sense. The news was announced at Sony's Tokyo Game Show conference, and was accompanied by a virtual reality highlight reel. The trailer featured footage from a shooter, an underwater exploration game, a Japanese concert experience and a dating sim. Sony's SCE London Studio has previously expressed interest in bringing social experiences to the headset. Project Morpheus will be available to consumers by mid-2016.
