Russia to hold ministerial meeting on Mideast at UN Security Council![]() September 16, 2015 - 16:50 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Russia will hold a special ministerial meeting at the United Nations Security Council on Sept. 30 to discuss conflicts in the Middle East and North Africa, Reuters reports citing RIA news agency. Russia took over the UN Security Council presidency for a month as of the beginning of September. "There are new initiatives related to our presidency of the Security Council in September," RIA quoted Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov as saying." “[The special meeting] will be devoted to discussion of the conflicts in the Middle East and North Africa in the context of a terrorism threat." Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
