Armenian and Georgian FMs Discussed Wide Range of Regional IssuesNovember 1, 2006 - 14:46 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A meeting of FMs of Armenia and Georgia Vartan Oskanian and Gela Bezhuashvili was held in Moscow today, reports the Armenian MFA Press Office. During the meeting the interlocutors discussed the matter of bilateral relations, as well s the impact of Russian-Georgian relations on the region and the opportunities to mitigate tension between Georgia and Russia. Speaking of the relations of the two countries with the EU, the Ministers appreciated the adoption of the Action Plan of the countries of the South Caucasus within the European Neighborhood Policy, scheduled November 14. They expressed confidence it will provide an opportunity for greater strengthening of cooperation of Armenia and Georgia on the way of European integration. Besides, Vartan Oskanian and Gela Bezhuashvili exchanged views over the peaceful settlement of conflicts and elimination of possible consequences of the GUAM initiative in the UN.![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
