Armenia active investor in international peacekeeping: Defense Minister

PanARMENIAN.Net - Despite recent border escalation, Armenia is firmly and consistently developing its peacekeeping capabilities, the Defense Minister said.

According to Seyran Ohanyan, instability in any region leads to negative repercussions, also creating new challenges.

“Regional problems are thus getting an international dimension,” Ohanyan said at the opening of the International Forum on Challenges to Peacekeeping Operations on Sunday, October 4, in Yerevan.

The Minister also stressed that Armenia continues to make efforts to support the development of international peacekeeping since becoming a UN member.

“Having gained sufficient experience, Armenia is currently an active investor in international peacekeeping and safety,” Ohanyan said.
